QUESTION: I let my dog out in the backyard in the dark. He's black and I can only see him when moving because my backlight is not very bright. Will this aid in seeing him\ by None N 11/6/2011

ANSWER: I just bought one, as I had the same issue. They do not glow in the dark. Really only helps when a light hits it, I was worried about my puppy getting hit by a car and when a light shines on the collar it lights up. But in the pitch black it will not help. by Nathan A 11/22/2011
ANSWER: I bought this collar for my Dads GSP and I called Daddy and ask him if he can see Jay good after dark and he said excellent, said he can see the collar long before he can see the dog so that is great. ANSWER: Absolutely, I have a Rottweiller mix and a dark german Sheppard that I had the same problem with. We bought a collar for each in contrasting colors to their fur and as an added safety measure made sure they were the floursecent type.
Now with barely any electric light you can spot them wherever they are, usually the moon is enough to find them and they stand out well down the road from oncoming cars.
Definitely reccomend, although I would use a color that isn't natural on your dog just to stand out even more. by GREG M 11/10/2011
