The Handler's lead was developed by a professional retriever handler to keep your dog leashed while going to and coming off the line. The 3 ft. short slip lead design has an added second leather stop to creat a custom fit that will not tighten around your dog's neck. Sized to slip easily into a field trial coat pocket or back pocket, these are a favorite among both field trial participants and professional trainers.
Designed to meet all AKC, UKC and HRC field trial and hunt test requirements.
Colorfast, waterproof polypropylene roping is gentle on hands.
Anti-corrosive bright brass ring.
Available in orange and camouflage.
3/8" diameter X 3' length.

QUESTION: will this work for a small dog pomeranian puppy? by Louis A 10/9/2011 ANSWER: I think this leash would be too short for a puppy. Since the puppy is not that tall, you would have to scrunch down to walk him, but you can get a longer model, because it would fit around any size neck. Hope that this info was helpful. Good Luck finding the right leash! by Vivianne P 10/11/2011 ANSWER: Yes, this lead leash will work great on a puppy. I bought it for that reason to use on my Labradoddle puppy. It is a great starting leash. You will be very happy with the purchase. It works great for adjusting to help with training. by Beth M 10/10/2011 REPLY: thank you It works well. by Louis A 10/15/2011 QUESTION: What dog would be a good candidate for this type of leash? by None N 6/22/2011 STAFF ANSWER: The slip lead is meant to help you communicate with your dog during training. When you or your dog pulls, the slip portion tightens around your dog's neck to apply light pressure and encourage him to refrain from pulling. Over time your dog will hopefully learn that the pressure is released when he/she does not pull. The leash is NEVER to be used for choking however, only for short corrections/tighten and release when your dog heads your correction. by Clint H 7/27/2011 Customers Also Purchased...
