QUESTION: Does the bottom velcro strap irritate the dog's paw? by None N 1/20/2012
ANSWER: We never got that far. The dog will not allow the boots on her discriminating paws. I will approach the problem with Mushers Cream. by Sandra K 3/6/2012
ANSWER: We are very happy with the boots..... the boots really do stay on ! We haven't seen any irritation , but she will occasionally lick her front paws after our run of two miles. We walk , jog nearly every day and I have yet to see them come off ! Be sure to order the right size for your pet..... and I think you'll be happy with them! Charles by Charles M 1/24/2012
QUESTION: I have a 9 lb. shi tzu. And, of course her legs are short. And I have had to buy a small. Will these boots fit her? by None N 11/16/2011
ANSWER: My understanding is that the more important measure for sizing is the width of the paw. My 35 pound beagle mix required the small, so maybe the small will be too big for your dog. The length of the legs does not seem that important. If you haven't done so, watch the video that shows you how to get the right size and how to put them on. It was very helpful to me. by Linda J 12/14/2011
ANSWER: I have a mini daschund and they fit him. If you put them on the right way they stay. Good luck and I really like these boots. Highly recomend them. by Susan S 12/1/2011
QUESTION: how well do they stay on? by Susan L 2/27/2011
ANSWER: If you follow the directions correctly, they stay on. I have a dachshund and his feet are tiny and they stay on. by Susan S 3/1/2011
ANSWER: We have a King Charles Cavalier spaniel, with incredible amounts of feathery fur on her paws. The boots require a bit of time to put on correctly, but they haven't come off yet, despite our dog's best efforts to catch every squirrel, bird and tumbling leaf in the mud-pit we fondly call our backyard every time it rains. by Annette D 2/28/2011
QUESTION: I'd like to know if the dog shoeswill protect my dog from get ticks when i go out side I have used frontiline, ticks colar ,every thing but is not working. by Tania d 2/14/2011
ANSWER: Dear Tania d,
Unfortunately for us and your dog there is no barrier to prevent ticks from crawling or jumping up. However, the boots are terrific inside and out in the cold snow. My dog Duke loves them and doesn't try to bite them off nor does he walk funny in them. Good luck on your journey to find relief from the ticks.

ANSWER: I don't think a tick can get into the boot it is quite heavy, I sent them back because in the snow they were getting wet and it didn't seem to me the dog should be having wet cold paws. by Patricia I 2/16/2011
ANSWER: It doesn't hurt to try. I would say to make sure they are the "right" size, because it will come off after a while; but then again I guess it depends if your doggie is playful or not. by Shane P 2/16/2011
ANSWER: Tania, the boots will not have an impact on ticks, you would still need to rely on your anti tick collars or sprays. dogIDS staff by A D 2/16/2011
