Large Brass Disc Dog ID Tag - Both Sides Engraved

ANSWER: it would be nice if it was engraved and blackened like the microchip brass tags.
i'm sorry to say that it's not engraved "deeply" -- so my tags which are less than a year old are starting to show wear. by gayle P 11/16/2010

ANSWER: I found that the engraving did not last as long as I would have hoped. I ordered mine in January 2010 and had to call for a replacement in November 2010.

However, I called the customer service department and explained what had happened. They were nice enough to send me a new id tag. They did also tell me that they have recently switched to laser engraving. My new tag has the laser engraving. I just put it on my dog, so we'll see if this one will last longer.

ANSWER: I purchased mine only this year and so far they're holding up well if cleaned occasionally. It appears that normal wear will be the main factor that will deteriorate them. by S S 11/16/2010

ANSWER: I was very pleased with the both-sides engraving on this Id. It looks to me to be very durable. It shows no signs of wear so far and I can't imagine it would wear off in a dog's lifetime. by P A 11/16/2010

ANSWER: Amy, I have ordered 6 ID tags from this company, all in brass and all having engraving on both sides. I have not had any problems with the engraving wearing off. I have two dogs and the first set I purchased lasted well over 2 years before I changed them. And I only changed them because of a new collar style not because the tags were bad. I have been very happy with the quality of the tags I have purchased.
