Availability:Usually ships the next business day
    Item # KU00006

Backseat Barrier The Backseat Barrier keeps everyone safe by creating a blockage between the front and back seats of the car. This wall keeps the dog safely in the backseat when the car stops quickly and restricts pups from moving between the front and back seats of the vehicle. The Backseat Barrier pet protector has an extra partition, which separates passengers from dogs in the backseat. The backseat barrier is perfect for long trips, or even around town.

    Benefits of the Backseat Barrier:
  • Protects dog from launching forward during quick stops
  • Protects passengers and cargo from roaming dogs
  • No need to remove when passengers ride in the backseat
  • Front seat stays clean of dog hair
  • Universal fit for most vehicles from a compact to an SUV
  • Simple installation / removal (and looks good enough to make permanent)

    Specifications:
  • Available in black with tan details
  • Made of 600 D Nylon and Ultrasuede

    Customer Questions
QUESTION: Where does it fasten on the bottom What are the height and width Does anyone know if it will work in a 2012 Subaru Outback. Will it work to keep the dogs off the console and in the back seat? by None N 5/4/2012
ANSWER: We bought it but found it difficult to attach at the bottom and across the top.
So, it has not proved that useful for now. We may try again to set it up in our Honda Pilot. by stephanie l 5/6/2012
QUESTION: I can see that it hooks to the headrests at the top. How or what does it hook on the bottom? by chri b 1/21/2012
ANSWER: They provide a length of nylon strapping material similar to what you see in the picture that you have to thread or wrap around the seat mountings on the floor. Then the vertical straps clip to D rings provided on that strap. by VICTORIA H 1/24/2012
QUESTION: Will this work to contain a dog in the cargo area of a Tahoe with second row bucket seats with headrests Does it go low enough to keep a 50lb dog from crawling under? by Shar S 1/17/2012
ANSWER: If you have a console between the back bucket seats, then the dog can be contained in the rear of the Tahoe. If you do not, then the dog can crawl pretty easily under the barrier. by VICTORIA H 1/24/2012
REPLY: Okay! Thanks for the info! by Shar S 1/24/2012
QUESTION: Will this work with a Honda Ridgeline truck? by None N 1/14/2012
ANSWER: It will if you can remove the headrests so you can slip the d ring on the headrest post. by VICTORIA H 2/24/2012
ANSWER: I am not sure. Best to look at the measurements of it. It worked pretty well in our Infiniiti QX56. by Susanne D 1/23/2012
    QUESTION: Hi

What does it attach to at the bottom I have a 20109 Honda CRV.

    thanks.

    Rose by Rose B 10/18/2011
ANSWER: I took the S-hooks for each side and hooked them under the seat to one of the seat support rails. It was a little different for each side, but seems like there are plenty of places under there to attach to. This was on a 2007 Toyota Camry.

The kit does not come with instructions or at least mine didn't so I figured either no instructions necessary, or they wouldn't help anyway. Turns out the install is pretty self explanatory. Took me about 10-15 minutes. by Mark P 11/16/2011
ANSWER: As you are near the floor of the back seat, reach underneath the front seat until you find a metal bar and attach the hook to that. Be careful not to attach it to wires/cords under the front seats. by Margaret P 11/11/2011
QUESTION: Will this fit in 2012 Ford Feista? by Karl H 9/25/2011
    STAFF ANSWER: Hi Karl,

Yes, it should fit no problem. by Clint H 9/29/2011
QUESTION: Can it be used with captain chairs without headrests? by None N 8/1/2011
ANSWER: No, you need one headrest rail on both the driver and passenger seat to hook a D ring thru, which produces the upper tension to support the barrier. by VICTORIA H 8/2/2011
QUESTION: did your dog try to climb over it...what holds the top of barrier in middle of seats so it doesn't get bent over..........thanks by carol m 2/4/2011
ANSWER: TThis barrier worked perfectly for us. I expected our little dog to try and climb over, but she didn't. Our big dog was also happy sitting behind the barrier because he could see thru the mesh. The middle part of the barrier is held taunt in place by straps with D rings that hook to the head rest supports. You have to take your head rests off the seat, slip the D ring around the metal supports, and reinsert. I have to admit that when the barrier initially arrived, it took us a little while to figure out how to hook it up in our vehicle a Buick Enclave. But I am very happy with the product. by VICTORIA H 2/5/2011
