The Kurgo Surf n Turf Pet Life Jacket & Winter Dog Coat is intended to comfortably fit your active dog in the water, the flotation layer can easily be removed for a perfect fit waterproof shell.

To turn the Kurgo Surf n Turf Life Jacket into a winter dog coat simply insert the Kurgo Wander Coat (see option below) into the shell of the jacket for extra warmth during those colder seasons.

The Wander Coat is made three different layers for a cozy three season coat. A waterproof top with a quilted membrane and fleece inside that acts as a thin insulation layer for your active dog during the colder seasons.

QUESTION: Does this jacket work for large dogs We have a 80 pound golden doodle. Does this actually allow them to float Are there floatation pads on the bottom Does this fit a dog who is very tall/long We bought one from cabellas and it was destroyed after trying to get the dog in and out of the boat twice. by Kelly M 7/21/2011

ANSWER: The jacket does fit securely on our 83 pound standard poodle; Seems very comfortable for the dog, too. He has cheerfully worn it several times in our canoe and rowboat with no evident wear or tear, but I haven't actually had him in the water with it yet, so can't comment on the flotation. by Patsy C 7/28/2011
