Naomi started her career as a jewelry designer focusing on pieces made of sterling silver and semi-precious stones.

At some point Naomi felt that Shale, her black Lab who always kept her company at her studio, deserved to wear one of her pieces. She designed a bone shaped ID tag made of sterling silver, with his name and telephone number hand engraved on it. Thus, her line of dog ID tags was conceived with Shale as the poster boy. The ID tag collection eventually expanded into a line of wearable dog accessories including dog collars and necklaces as well as matching jewelry for dog owners.
