The tag has a little weight to it, but it hasn't bothered our cat. He is deaf and just wearing the collar took some adjusting - ha, ha ... Once he got used to the collar, we added the tag (and a bell); he doesn't even notice it.

Yes these are light weight. I bought the pink one with the with cat for my 17.5 year old cat that has hypothyroidism. She only weighs 4 pounds. She has shown no problem with the tag. She doesn't even seem to know it is there.
