The Copper Artisan Dog ID Tag - "Eddie" is one of the designer pet tags created by our artisan partner, Stacey. Hand-crafted out of patinated copper and sterling silver, this ID tag is truly one of a kind. Stacey was inspired by the Jack Russell Terrier, Eddie, from tv's "Frasier" in the design of this artisan tag. A hand-stamped message of your choosing will be on the back of the tag. This designer tag is made just for you by our artist and a wonderful gift for your dog!
Our artisan partner, Stacey is a big fan of animals, nature, and art – which is evident through her rustic designs for art in the form of dog tags, cat tags, home décor, and custom cameos. She loves working with copper and sterling silver to create handmade works of art for her customers.
What is patinated copper?
Patina is a tarnish of sorts that can form on the surface of many kinds of metal, including copper. It’s a coating made up of chemical compounds that form after exposure to the elements. While some patination occurs in nature, artists have also developed ways of creating this effect in their studios. Stacey recreates this effect on her Copper and Silver tags, which is how they get their unique coloring. Customers enjoy these artisan tags because they are hand-crafted and stamped just for them and because the personal time Stacey spends on each time is evident in their quality.
