Kathi P: I really cannot answer this question. The regular rubit is fantastic. By looking at the picutre of the heart rubit clip they look very similar and I'm sure it has a good clasp/closure on it like the regular rubit has. Wish I could answer this question better. Dec 6, 2011

L C: I'm not sure how the heart shaped dog tag compares to the original which I purchased. I do know though, that the one I bought in 2010 is very sturdy and is now being worn by my 3rd service dog. I would definitely recommend one of these for any dog. Dec 6, 2011
