Dave C: Because our dogs play rough and keep tearing off those stupid rings that come with dog tags. The only things that is really safe are the s-clips.Apr 9, 2013
Lucretia D: I needed the hooks and it was easier to order here than going to the store.Apr 9, 2013
william c: Best price on the net for small quantities.Aug 1, 2012
Daniel R: Very few online vendors actually carry these kind of small sturdy S-hooks. It is getting to be kind of rare to see them in smaller then 1 inch sizes.Jun 20, 2012
William S: need hook to replace cheap wire for tags that the dogs breakApr 5, 2012
Anne B: I prefer the 7/8" S hooks to secure my dog's tags as opposed to the coiled rings. The coiled rings have accidently become snagged on something which will uncoil it and there goes your tags. One can also clip the leash clasp through it instead of the collar's D ring and lose the tag or tags. We have learned by experience not to trust the coiled rings.Mar 27, 2012
Dick E: Zinc s hooks leave metal color in my dogs neck. These stainless steel hooks should solve the problemJan 21, 2012
janet b: i chose this item to secure our dogs tagsSep 2, 2011
Stephanie H: I got tired of the crummy cheap attachments these vet offices gave us which our dogs easily tore up and lost their tags pretty much on a daily basis. We have champion blood lines and I worry about losing them. I am from the south and in the south they use these stronger types of tags for stronger dogs not the puny cheap ones we get here. I was happy to find this now my dogs will be safe.Jan 2, 2011
Susan G:you'll need a pair of pliers, I recommend needle nose pliers. Put the dog tag on one half of the S-hook and close that half with the pliers so that the end of the S is touching or almost touching the middle of the S, then hook the other half to your pets collar, and close that half the same way.Jan 9, 2012
Mary J:Usually there is a D ring on the collar, put one side of the S hook in the D ring and close with a pliers. Put the other side of tge S hook in the tag and close with a pliers.Jan 9, 2012
Chuck BStaff:S-hooks are commonly used for attaching hanging dog ID tags to a dog collar's D-ring. Use pliers to spread the opening if necessary, then attach to the Tag, pinch the hook closed then attach to the D-Ring and close opening. We also have split ring circles that can attach to the tag and collar as well. Chuck B. StaffApr 12, 2011
