dogIDs Store asked: Why did you choose this?
A shopper asked:
How many letters are allowed using Ariel on a 1 1/4" tag? can info be put on both sides?

Dustin H:
You're allowed 8 characters on the front and on the back you're allowed 4 lines with a max of 15 characters.

I did get info on both sides of my tags- My dogs' names were put on the front of the tags and three phone numbers plus the word "REWARD" on the back. As far as how many letters are allowed...I think you can go ahead and try to input your letters into the indicated fields here on the ordering page. I don't think any one of the lines will allow you to enter more characters than what they can actually fit on your tag. ;) I hope that helps.
Also, I'm really pleased with the way these tags turned out. I selected the gold option and although we've only had our tags for a couple of weeks, it seems they will last a very long time. They're really beautiful and well-made.
My only complaint is that since both of my dogs' names are only 4 letters each, their names came out enormous on the front of the tags. I would have liked their names engraved a bit smaller, and had I known I would have put in a note with my order, but this is very minor... over all I am VERY PLEASED with the tags for the price paid.
(Perhaps you could consider a feature on this website that allows the shopper to input their info and "preview" what it'll look like on the actual tag, selecting from different fonts and font sizes. Just my two cents. :)
Now, go ahead and order these quality tags! :D

I don't know how many letters, but I did put text on both sides. On one side, I put the dog's name in fairly large letters and on the reverse, I put "I belong to...my name.. and phone number. It fit just fine.

Approximately 13 letters per line. Yes, you can engrave both sides, but I believe one side is specifically for the pet name.
