Love the rubber ring under the lip of the bowls. Keeps them securely in place and prevents extraneous noise, which is good as my dog spooks easily and isn't a highly motivated eater to start with, so minimizing deterrents and distractions is good.
I wish the bowls were smaller. I got it for the height as my Sheltie has swallowing issues, but the bowls are crazy big for her - her half a cup of food looks ridiculous in a 2 quart bowl and she has to chase it around the bottom to the far side - which is quite far for her with this dinner set. It's doable though, and the large capacity for water is nice. My dog's just taking a while to adjust as she's a rather high anxiety dog.
