Does this door work for dogs coming and going? (Can they get both in and out through this door?)
Grace B on Nov 14, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the door is two way. When the dog goes out the aluminum and plexiglass both open, coming back in only the plexiglass opens to the inside. Chuck B. Staff
Can the door be sealed shut for security against unwanted entry when dog is not present?
Tara W on Mar 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It can be closed from the inside with the addition of a dog door closing panel -http://www.dogids.com/product/heavy-duty-dog-door-closing-panel/
HOW DO THESE DOG DOORS SEAL? WE GET BELOW ZERO IN THE WINTER AND OFTEN WITH WING TOO.
HOW HEAVE ARE THE ARE THE DOORS, CAN A SMALL DOG PUSH THEM OPEN?
Lori N on Jul 25, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I did have to add a layer of fuzzy weather stripping around the edge and trim it enough to still let the door swing. It still works well enough. A small dog can push it open; the pug who later came to live with us is a little afraid of it, but he will push it open when he wants to badly enough. Since it is stiff, I was afraid one of the dogs would get caught in it but this has never happened and the other dogs are happy with it. It is still better than the floppy doors that don't stay put. (Plus the dog that ate the floppy door couldn't eat through this!)
