BEST ANSWER: Pull the top plastic casing off to expose the round electrical unit containing the battery (found in a small round sunken pocket in the center of the light). Push the 2 round, flat batteries out of the electrical unit. Replace them with 2 new round, flat batteries and replace the electrical unit in the small round sunken pocket. Replace the top plastic casing. You may need to use a small flat headed screwdriver to pry the plastic casing off the unit. You may also need the screwdriver to pop the electrical unit from its location.

I have a black boxer & a very large back yard which is very dark, before I got the light I couldn't see Mika at all, I still can't see her but thanks to her light I know where she is always. The battery lasts a long time too!! Mika loves her light & so do I :)

These lights are fantastic. I have a cottage in VT. It's dark out at night! I use this light and can see my dog anywhere she goes. I have the red, green and blue. They're sturdy and comfy hanging on her collar too
They require both hands to light as they're a little tough... but worth the effort

Solves my problem of letting my black lab out in the dead of night. He is easily located. The dog likes it too as it gives him a little light as he wanders around. The size is perfect too. It's just a little thicker than a name tag.

Not lost in the backyard anymore
I love these little lights. We go on night walks frequently and it has helped with cars being able to see my dogs. I also turn it on before they go out the doggie door into the background at night so I can see them easily without turning on the outside light. I have not needed to change the battery yet.
