This tag holder can go around the collar which causes less tag noise as the tag lays closer to the dog. I love the versatility that they offer. I use them to clip my keys to my purse, to hold my cellphone to my belt loop and they can also be used for storage identification. Jan 19, 2012
Colleen G: My dog's key ring part of her tag holder got caught in a loop in my brand new (2 months old) carpeting and tore a hole right in the center of the living room carpeting. The ring has also gotten caught in 2 throws on the couch and torn holes in them. I would like to take the tags off when she is in the house. Jan 19, 2012

James S: Trying to find new ones to replace old ones and purchased two from Petco recently(not of the same quality), and they are complete junk! In my home, they fell off due to the snap/click being able to open on its own with dog activity. This holder looks about the same as my last ones...hopefully this is what I've been looking for! Jan 7, 2012
Debbie S: I'd rather say after I receive the tag. I found some a couple years ago, they're awesome. These look a lot like it. There are some out there that look like this, but they're poorly made, don't stay clasped. I do K9 SAR, need ID to stay on the dog's tags when they work far from me. If these are the ones, which I think they are, I know they'll work thru brush/water and rough terrain. Ask me again later after I receive. :) Dec 29, 2011

M A: I bought this thinking it would work for my Pomeranian puppy, who now ( 2 yrs. later) weighs 10 Lbs. This tag holder was too big for his 1/4 in. wide collar. If you are planning on using this with 1/2 in. collar or a little wider, it should work fine. Hope this helps, MC May 3, 2012

Mary W: They're not too big for a puppy that size. I put them on my 13 lb. mini dachshund "grand-dogs," and they are the perfect size for their little collars and the tags that have my phone number on them. Hope this helps. May 3, 2012

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Sara P: June-

It has a pretty large capacity, currently I have 4 different tags on the ring (rabies, local registration, id and a charm) with room to fit more. If you currently have your Tags on a small ring you can actually swap it out which is what I did- it functions just like a key ring so it's easy to add and take them off.

L B: I have 3 to 4 tags on most of mine. You could put a couple more if needed. You can also use more than one split ring. I add a 2nd split ring on most of mine. All of mine are on 1" collars, but I put it around a single layer on adjustable collars. It might be hard to fit on a thick 1" collar. Apr 8, 2011

Elizabeth A: You can put several tags on the split ring on the tag holder. I currently have my dogs rabies, town license and an general name tag hanging and it works well. I have used these holders for over 5 years now and they work great. Apr 8, 2011

Mary W: Sandy,
I got two of them for my "grand-dogs" (Mini-dachshunds) to use when they are here. I have tags with my address and phone number since they visit me from another city. I was really tired of getting those tags on and off the s hook on their collars. The Cetacea holder is great. It is easy on and easy off. I got one for my own big dog to wear when I take her to visit my brother, and it fits easily on her wider one-inch collar. Hope this helps you decide.

Fredericka W: yes - I have bought many of them and am very pleased. I particularly like them because they do not add length as they affix to the collar and not the buckle loop. The snap is tight which I like because I am sure they won't fall off but once you have used a couple of times it is very easy to attach. I have nothing but good things to say... i have tried other types of detachable tags and this is undoubtedly the best! R May 30, 2011

B R: Yes. Very easy to move from collar to collar. My Aussie has a large collar wardrobe. This was my reason for purchasing. Also great for when she she swims. Doesn't get rusty like the metal ones can from the saltwater. May 30, 2011
