The Tag-it dog ID tag holder is one of our most popular accessories, your dog will love it! It allows you to easily add and remove a dog ID tag to/from your dog's collar, harness or leash. Once you attach the Tag-it to the split ring you will never have to deal with those awkward split rings again! Simply loop the Tag-It dog ID tag holder over your dog's collar and snap using the mini quick release buckle. Simply unlatch the quick release buckle to remove it.

If you change your dog's collar frequently, want to remove "jingly" ID tags for a peaceful night's sleep, or if you compete with your pet, this product is perfect for you! Other great uses include marking cages, holding a spare house key on your leash (or your shoe laces), attaching a blinking light or chemical light stick to your child's backpack for low-light events and more.

They are very handy for changing pet license tags and rabies tags and such. Makes it so much easier than struggling with the entire collar.
Sandra J on Apr 8, 2013
I show dogs in obedience and rally and they are not allowed to wear their tags in the ring. This give me the opportunity to remove the tags and leave their collars on while competing.
shirley b on Apr 4, 2013
it is the best thing ever if you change your dog's collar frequently
aileen c on Mar 29, 2013
I have these for two other dogs and wanted one for the third dog. I like the way the dog tags hang closer to the dogs' collars using the tag it and it has the added benefit of being easy to remove/change to a different collar.
Mary F on Mar 26, 2013
hopefully it will make it easier to attach tags

we provide short term pet fostering to people's pets when they are experiencing a mental health crisis requiring hospitalization. The clients and foster homes are anonymous to each other. So when we take a dog in, we replace their tags with this indicating its a foster animal.
shawna v on Mar 23, 2013
Had one and LOVED it! Easy to use ad secure. Helps since we change his collars frequently. Unfortunately, last one got skunked along with dog.
Sherry G on Mar 20, 2013
I change my dogs' collars frequently. I have tried Rubit and Change It clasps, they both fall apart after a few wearings since my dogs are very active. This looks like a sturdier design.
Jacqueline T on Mar 16, 2013
I am hoping this will be stronger than the Rubit Clip-on which is not suitable for large breed dogs.
Mary N on Mar 8, 2013
We use a few different collars so this will work best for changing over tags to go on the collar we will be using at the time. Our black lab is very active so we went with this instead of the clip-on tag holders.
Janae M on Mar 7, 2013
I have used these tag-it connectors after finding them in a little pet store in San Luis Obispo, CA about 12 years ago. Still using the same ones and thought it was time to replace them and get a new one for the puppy. The two original ones have never broken or been lost.
Judy S on Mar 6, 2013
You can wash the collar on the dog when you bathe them and this makes it easy to use the second clean collar without waiting for the washer and then dry them on a hook. My dogs always have the tags on with the holder. Great product
Margaret H on Mar 6, 2013
So much easier that getting out the plyers when we switch our dogs collars (I hope-haven't tried it yet)
Marissa T on Mar 2, 2013
I have used tag-its on all my dogs. They are wonderfully convenient and have never come off by mistake.

Will the Tag-It dog ID tag Holder fit a 1.25 inch collar?
DianeA on May 25, 2013

I use it on a 1" collar and it fit's snug. If the collar is not a real heavy duty leather or nylon you may be able to bend it a bit to make it fit. I hate to state the obvious but someone at dogids with access to both products should try and see. That would save you returning it if it doesn't fit.

FYI Diane, I have found several uses for these little things. I attach one to my purse strap for attaching keys, phone case as well for dog walks. I have a little nylon bag that holds waste bags for a dog walk that fits on it as well. They are made well and I trust the clasp. Good fit.
Is there anywhere we can see the colors/patterns of this tag holder?
