The Tag-it Dog ID Tag Holder is one of our most popular accessories at dogIDs.

It allows you to easily add and remove a dog ID tag to/from your dog's collar, harness or leash.

Once you attach the Tag-it to the split ring you will never have to deal with those awkward split rings again! Simply loop the Tag-It dog ID tag holder over your dog's collar and snap using the mini quick release buckle. Simply unlatch the quick release buckle to remove it.

If you change your dog's collar frequently, want to remove "jingly" ID tags for a peaceful night's sleep, or if you compete with your pet, this product is perfect for you! Other great uses include marking cages, holding a spare house key on your leash (or your shoe laces), attaching a blinking light or chemical light stick to your child's backpack for low-light events and more.

Sizing: Fits collars that are 1" wide or smaller

Laurie F on Jan 22, 2017
Easy to remove and add tags!
Allison G on Jan 17, 2017
I very much like the concept of a secure, "quick on and off" the collar design. Security is the key as I absolutely can't have this device coming off in the woods and then the subsequent loss of my boy's tags. My guess is that I will see this as an essential, "don't know what I did before I had this", type of a product. Many thanks.
Timothy R on Jan 9, 2017
I bought this item because it will look perfect with the ID Tags
Melissa R on Dec 28, 2016

Karen P on Apr 14, 2013
They are very handy for changing pet license tags and rabies tags and such. Makes it so much easier than struggling with the entire collar.
Sandra J on Apr 8, 2013
I show dogs in obedience and rally and they are not allowed to wear their tags in the ring. This give me the opportunity to remove the tags and leave their collars on while competing.
shirley b on Apr 4, 2013
it is the best thing ever if you change your dog's collar frequently
aileen c on Mar 29, 2013
I have these for two other dogs and wanted one for the third dog. I like the way the dog tags hang closer to the dogs' collars using the tag it and it has the added benefit of being easy to remove/change to a different collar.
Mary F on Mar 26, 2013
hopefully it will make it easier to attach tags
Michael M on Mar 25, 2013
we provide short term pet fostering to people's pets when they are experiencing a mental health crisis requiring hospitalization. The clients and foster homes are anonymous to each other. So when we take a dog in, we replace their tags with this indicating its a foster animal.
shawna v on Mar 23, 2013
Had one and LOVED it! Easy to use ad secure. Helps since we change his collars frequently. Unfortunately, last one got skunked along with dog.
Sherry G on Mar 20, 2013
I change my dogs' collars frequently. I have tried Rubit and Change It clasps, they both fall apart after a few wearings since my dogs are very active. This looks like a sturdier design.
Jacqueline T on Mar 16, 2013
I am hoping this will be stronger than the Rubit Clip-on which is not suitable for large breed dogs.
Mary N on Mar 8, 2013
We use a few different collars so this will work best for changing over tags to go on the collar we will be using at the time. Our black lab is very active so we went with this instead of the clip-on tag holders.
Janae M on Mar 7, 2013
I have used these tag-it connectors after finding them in a little pet store in San Luis Obispo, CA about 12 years ago. Still using the same ones and thought it was time to replace them and get a new one for the puppy. The two original ones have never broken or been lost.
Judy S on Mar 6, 2013
You can wash the collar on the dog when you bathe them and this makes it easy to use the second clean collar without waiting for the washer and then dry them on a hook. My dogs always have the tags on with the holder. Great product
Margaret H on Mar 6, 2013
So much easier that getting out the plyers when we switch our dogs collars (I hope-haven't tried it yet)
Marissa T on Mar 2, 2013
I have used tag-its on all my dogs. They are wonderfully convenient and have never come off by mistake.
Fay H on Mar 2, 2013

I love that the tags can be on tag holder and then moved to different collars if needed.
One of mine fell apart and I lost all the tags. =( All that remained was a portion of the leather that was stuck between my dogs neck and collar.

LARGE Service Dog. Since he is Lic/Reg legally as a service dog he has to wear is issued special dog tags, badge, etc. This has allowed us to consolidate the tags and move from collar to harness as needed. GREAT product.

Allows you to switch ID tags between collars. Plus it keeps the tags off of the collar's D ring so that tie out leads don't rip the tags off.
The fit is a little tight around a 1" collar but it goes on.
