Your dog will have his or her very own webpage that people will be directed to just by scanning your dog's unique QR code with a smartphone! Easy, convenient, high tech, practical and SAFE!

Our ScruffTag Collars are perfect for identifying your dog and very easy to scan with a smartphone since the ScruffTag always sits right on the scruff (back) of your dog's neck. Whoever finds your dog does not have to worry about reaching under your dog's jowls to find the ID tag and situate the tag to scan...Just aim a smartphone right at the back of your dog's neck and scan the QR code...Can't get any easier and requires no physical contact with the found dog!

Optionally include your phone number & pet's name to be engraved on the collar so whoever finds your dog can immediately call you and know your dog's name. When the collar arrives, it includes a free unique web address and PetHub Link QR code that can be scanned with any Smartphone (such as Apple iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Microsoft Windows Mobile, and others).

Here's how it works: Someone finds your pet. They try the phone number and you're not answering. They scan the collar with their phone or type in the web address. What shows up on their smartphone screen are any details you've chosen to enter about your pet, including other emergency contacts (spouse, neighbor, friend, vet, pet sitter, doggie daycare, etc.), important medications, dietary needs, and anything else you think someone rescuing your pup or kitty needs to know.

QUESTION: What is the quality of the collar. Can my dog scratch and destroy it I need to know this before I purchase it. by Kristin S 9/29/2011

ANSWER: The tag is pretty sturdy and is located at the top of the collar - opposite the buckle. The code and text are really heavy duty. Based on location, I don't think the dog could do much damage. We've only had ours for a few days, but so far so good! by Lori N 9/29/2011

STAFF ANSWER: The collar is made of a durable product called Polypropylene or polypropene PP is a thermoplastic polymer, made by the chemical industry and used in a wide variety of applications, including packaging, textiles e.g., ropes, thermal underwear and carpets, stationery, plastic parts and reusable containers of various types, laboratory equipment, loudspeakers, automotive components, and polymer banknotes. An addition polymer made from the monomer propylene, it is rugged and unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids.

Because of its rugged yet soft feel, polypropylene rope is our preferred material for collars and leads. It is also very resistant to fading, odor and UV deterioration. The polypropylene rope used in Mendota Products' collars and leads is a long lasting, durable yet comfortable feeling material. We guarantee the engraving for the life of your pet as well. Chuck B. STAFF ANSWER: These are high quality collars made of polypropylene webbing...Very tough material yet soft to the touch. The nameplates are deeply etched so very hard to destroy by your dog by scratching at it, etc. We've yet to receive one of these collars back for dog induced damage. It is possible that another dog could chew on it and damage the collar or tag however if they have a strong bite. by Clint H 9/29/2011

STAFF ANSWER: We use a state of the art engraver and guaranteed the engraving for the life of your pet. However, it is very unlikely you'll ever have the engraving wear off.
