Choosing the correct dog collar size is essential for your pet's comfort and safety. Measure your dog's neck where the collar naturally rests (usually near the middle of the neck). To ensure a comfortable and safe fit, follow the "Two-Finger Rule": you should be able to snugly slide two fingers between the collar strap and your dog's neck. Almost all of our collars have an adjustment slider or prong style buckle to achieve the perfect fit.

What is the difference between a ScruffTag Collar, NamePlate Collar and an Embroidered Collar?

• ScruffTag Collars: Feature a large personalized ID tag built into the structure of the collar which rests right on the back (scruff) of our dog’s neck with deeply laser engraved information (name, phone number, etc.) This is a very practical and silent option since the large tag area allows for easy readability from a distance. Because of this, a person that finds your lost dog doesn’t need to contact the dog to read your contact information. They can just stand above or directly behind your dog to read how to contact you.
• NamePlate Dog Collars: Feature personalized ID information (name, phone number) engraved onto a durable stainless steel or solid brass plate that is riveted directly to the collar's strap. This is a very secure and silent option and has a classic regal look.
• Embroidered Dog Collars: Feature your dog's name and contact information stitched directly into the nylon webbing collar strap. This is a highly visible, permanent solution with no parts that can fall off. Embroidery thread color choices are also a big plus if you want to design your own unique color combination.

Can I wash my dog's collar?

Yes, all of our nylon and waterproof collars are easily cleaned with warm soapy water or tossed into the washing machine. For leather collars, we recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth or leather cleaner and applying a leather conditioner every couple of months to keep them in top condition.
