Protection and Peace

So you’ve just purchased a beautiful, personalized ID tag for your dog, don’t you want to protect it? A dog tag silencer will protect your pet’s new tag from abrasion against other objects and tags. And the best part of all - tag silencers eliminate noise. With a dog tag silencer, you can live a jingle-free life! Each silencer is made of pliable plastic, making them incredibly easy to install.

Tags with glossy finishes or softer metals such as aluminum are more prone to abrasion, fading, and damage. A dog tag silencer can prevent these issues to preserve your pet’s tag. Our tag silencers are also glow-in-the-dark, which is great for dogs who like to roam the yard at night. Customers have told us this feature is useful if a silencer falls off.

The Perfect Fit

Our dog tag silencers pair perfectly with our sports team pet tags, signature name dog ID tags, and traditional metal dog tags. Both of which come in bone, disc, military and round shapes. The silencers fit snugly around our nickel-plated and gold-plated bone ID tags, making them more difficult to install. Neither shape dog tag silencer will fit any of our artisan or unique dog tags due to their width.

If you have any questions regarding the size and fit of our dog tag silencers, contact our customer service desk by calling 800-720-8247 or emailing us at [email protected]

One of my family members goes crazy with the noise of our dog's tags clinking...so the dog tag silencers you carry totally fit the bill for us! Thank you for a great product.

Charles H W on Feb 25, 2013
Each of my dogs have 2 tags. One contains their home information and the other contains their chip information. Hopefully the silencers will keep the tags from destroying each other as tags (from another vendor) have.

Their metal tags were hitting their bowls when they were eating--hoping this will help!

Are the silencers transparent; so you can see parts of the tag that would otherwise be covered up?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2011
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't say they're completely transparent, like glass, but yes, you can see lettering through them. The silencers on my dog's tags slightly overlap one of the numbers, and you can see it through the silencer.
This year's rabies tag is a cross shape. Will the round silencer fit around it?
Ryan R. on Mar 4, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Probably not. Even though the silencer is flexible, it will fit better around a rounded tag.
My puppy has a heart shaped collar. Will the round tag fit? Are the materials flexible enough?
shirley on Sep 17, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The material is flexible enough for the silencer to take the shape of the tag. I used the round shape to cover a bell-shaped tag for my puppy. I just found the tag a little more difficult to get onto the o-ring of the collar once the silencer was around the tag.
i have a 3/4" by 1 3/4" rectagular tag - will this rectagular tag fit it?
Snowflake on Jul 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The military tag silencer is 2 in x 1 1/4 in, so your tag might be a little small for that.
My dog's tag is exactly one inch round. Is the round 1-1/4 the correct size for the silencer or is it too large?
Sandra G on Jun 6, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm afraid that the small silencer is too small. The large one might work, but it might not be flush to the tag. The small is 7/8" and the large is 1 1/4". It's a little bit stretchy, but not enough to make the small one fit over a 1" tag.
Hello to the seller. Are you able to provide bulk buy options for wholesale?
Eleesha C on Dec 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We get these from a supplier, so we can't offer much of a discount for bulk orders of the silencers. You'd be better off going to the supplier themselves.
Regarding the reflective pet silencers. My metal bone tags are 2 x 1 5/16 and 1 1/2 x 1. Will your silencers stretch to fit?
Thank you
Gale
A shopper on Dec 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: That tag sounds too wide for the silencer. They have a bit of stretch in them, but not that much.
Does the bone shaped silencer fit on the small tag or the large tag?
Theresa H on Sep 21, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Currently the silencers are for the large size bone tag. We plan on getting small bone and circle silencers in October. Chuck B. Staff

Easy and Perfect
Great and sturdy product. It does help cut down the noise from all our dog's tags he has to wear. Fits great on Petsmart and Petco dog bone shape tags.

resolves that annoying clanging from my dogs during their night time wanderings around the house.
The clear one looks a little grimey and needs washing after a while - but doesn't ever look new again.

I had one dog that would not drink or eat from dish if food/water was too low. Realized it was tag clinking on dish that bothered him. No more problems with sound gone. Food/water can be at bottom of dish and it is no problem for him. Thanks

Great, allowed to get some sleep.
Round one did not fit, but that was because of the county's design for rabies tag.

These work well to stop clinking tags. They also glow in the dark. Wasn't sure I waoild like that part, but seeing those tags when I get up at night and being able to avoid stepping on or stumbling over one of the dogs is the greatest.

Wonderful. Tags are much easier to deal with when he shakes off at night and not having to hear loud clicking of tags
