These super soft high quality collars are made in the USA from genuine bison and elk hides harvested in the USA. Though these are very soft to the touch, the fiber structure of bison and elk leather are actually stronger than cow hide! Super soft AND super tough!

The outside bison leather and elk leather inside lining are stitched together with nylon thread for added strength. The soft outside bison leather provides great looks while the inside elk leather layer gives your dog that extra soft comfort. The craftsmanship behind these custom leather dog collars is truly amazing! QUESTION: what size collar would i need for my 7lb chihuahua? by None N 10/10/2011

STAFF ANSWER: The dog should have a neck of 8 inches or more for these collars.
Here are a few different methods for measuring your dog's neck:
Measure your dog's neck with a sewing tape while keeping two fingers between his skin and the tape.
OR...
Wrap a string around your dogs neck with two fingers between his skin and the string. Mark the string and then measure the length of it.
OR...
Remove your dog's current collar and stretch it out flat. Then measure from the center of the buckle to the current sizing hole being used.
If the dog's deck is less than 8 inches, I would recommend the nylon web collar with engraved plastic buckle, which can fit a 6-10 inch neck. Item # MGWEBPB Chuck B. Staff by Chuck B 10/10/2011

STAFF ANSWER: There is no color option to choose. We use a brass nameplate on the collars with brass hardware and stainless steel nameplate on collars with silver hardware as pictured in the main image. ANSWER: We have a small wading pool in the dogs' area and the collars have gotten wet. The collars have two layers of high quality leather, with the tag riveted on. The collars have not been visibly damaged by the water and appear to be immune from damage from it. Not having to dangle a pet ID because the tag is part of the collar, and becasue the collar can contain more information than any other type we've tried, are great features. by Gary S 6/23/2011
