Looking for a correctional collar that is comfortable for your dog but still safe? Then the new chain martingale collar is a necessity! It is adjustable, lightweight, and has a quick-release buckle for added safety. Choose from three sizes and four color options.

Why Martingale?

Martingale collars fit loosely on a dog’s neck, but tighten when they need to (i.e., for walks, on tie-outs, etc.). This dog chain collar has two loops. The first is the part that resembles a traditional nylon collar. It is adjustable and should be somewhat loose when placed around the neck.

The second loop is for control and where you attach a leash. When your furry pal pulls, the collar tightens and will stay snug around your dog’s neck without causing any pain or harm. As soon as pressure is released, the martingale will relax again.

Veterinarians and trainers alike recommend martingale collars. So if you are in need of a training collar or just have a dog that could use a little extra correction, a martingale is perfect for you.

Materials and Hardware

The first loop of these anti back out collars are made of heavy-duty nylon material and come in black, red, blue and pink.

The chain is made of steel and has a rust resistant nickel finish that is both durable and lightweight.

The dog chain collar comes equipped with a slider so that you can adjust the collar perfectly, but also has a side release buckle. This buckle is for safety and convenience. Should your pup get into an emergency situation, the buckle releases quickly and easily. If you only need the martingale to fix obedience issues during walks, the buckle makes it easy to add and remove while your dog still wears her usual collar.

We raise and train Golden Retrievers for service work, have found that Martingale collars are the best to train with for loose leash walking . Prefer the buckle style.

I bought it previously, trained my dog with it (Therapy Dog now). He wore it for 10 years and the buckle finally broke! Can't complain about that!!!

WAS LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATE SOLUTION TO THE TRADITIONAL CHOKER COLLAR. HAVE A ROTTWEILER AND WANTED SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE FRIENDLIER.

My Lab puppy continues to get off the chain. My neighbor recommended this collar so that he does not run away. He chewed the harness off in less than 15 minutes. He needs more training to walk nicely with me instead of pulling.

This is the only U.S.Made Martingale made of strong reliable parts including /especially the hardware & it has a quick release buckle (which should be the safety standard on ALL Martingales!) that I have found. Great training product & it fits!!! Highly recommend! Wish the colors offered purple.

Do you keep this collar on all the time or just for walks?
A shopper on Aug 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This collar can be used for either purpose. If you have the collar on all of the time, I would recommend keeping it pretty snug so that your dog doesn't escape from it.
How do you measure for size?
A shopper on Jan 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You should measure your dog's exact neck size (use a measuring tape to find the circumference around their neck). After you have found their neck size, if you scroll down to the product description, the details of each size are listed. You should choose a size where the neck size falls into the range. For example, if your dog's neck measures 19 inches - you could either get the medium size (neck size range 15-20 inches) or the large size (neck size range 18-23 inches).

Attractive and practicable.
Looks goods, works well, better control than with a plain collar but not as rough as a choker.

I LIKE THE LOOK OF IT AND THE QUALITY. I WOULD .TO USE THIS OVER A CHOKER CHAIN. I HAVE A ROTTWEILER AND SHE STILL LIKES TO PULL WITH IT. I DO NEED TO WORK WITH HER MORE, AS SHE IS A FARM DOG AND I DON'T TAKE HER OUT MUCH ON A LEASH. LOOKS MORE COMFORTABLE FOR HER. MY SON IS LOOKING TO GET ONE FOR HIS LABRADOR.

Chain Martingale for large puppy
Was looking for a martingale collar for my rather large puppy. Most small sizes were too small and medium sizes were too heavy - due to the chain. DogIDs's collars were the right weight & size for my 43 pound puppy. Personally I would have liked it if the nylon part of the collar was a bit wider - allowing for long use, but our trainer is happy with how it fits our dog at present.
